A Season of Giving, Learning, and Brightening Lives
Each year, the Westchase Elementary Holiday Shop isn’t just a fun shopping experience for our students, it’s also a chance to give back in a big way. Proceeds from the Holiday Shop help fund Teacher Appreciation Week at a local Title I school that doesn’t have a PTA. Thanks to your support, their teachers and staff are treated to a full week of meals, school swag, and well-deserved recognition. A true bright spot in their year.
How It Works
Before the shop opens, you’ll receive everything you need:
- Your class’s designated shopping time
- Details on how to purchase gift certificates
- A money envelope for your child to safely bring in cash
Volunteers will be available to help children shop and count their money. It’s a great way for students to practice budgeting, generosity, and independence all while having fun!
A Few Important Reminders:
- If you’re purchasing gift certificates for more than one child, you must purchase them separately, even if your children are in the same family.
- Gift certificates may not be shared between students in different classes. We are unable to track shared balances.
- Gift certificates must be printed and brought in. Not all volunteers have access to digital records during shopping times.
- Credit cards are accepted with a 3.5% transaction fee. There is no minimum purchase required.
Thank you for helping make the holidays brighter for both our Westchase students and teachers across our wider community!
